Three drawings of the Flying Hut have been discovered inscribed into fresh concrete, which was recently poured partially over the cobbled surface of Bratley Street. These drawings were made after the demolition of the original Hut.
This blog documents the area around Pedley Street over the past couple of years, and onwards through its demolition in 2007, including the destruction in June 2007 of the iconic Flying Hut. One of the last remaining 'Terrains Vagues' of the near East End the loss of the footbridge, the flying hut and the cobbles of Fleet Street Hill are sincerely missed and mourned.
